The environment as an operational principle
At Alma Petroli, environmental protection is not just a goal, but an everyday operational standard.
We do not just comply with regulations. We have adopted an Integrated Management System certified according to UNI EN ISO 14001, and we constantly invest in reducing our environmental impact. This is partly thanks to the active involvement of our entire team.
Because the plant is located near a Special Protection Area, the entire site is designed to ensure maximum environmental control.
All effluents are directed onto paved surfaces, and discharges and emissions are monitored continuously. Each stage of the process is optimized to minimize waste, consumption, and dispersion.

Alma Petroli for a sustainable future with EMAS
Building on a long-standing tradition of voluntary eco-responsible protocols that began in the 1970s, companies in Ravenna’s chemical industry district have launched a new initiative aimed at fostering industrial development that is in harmony with the use of local resources and compatible with the environment.
The Ravenna District environmental certification project is the first of its kind in Italy. It is of particular strategic importance because it involves certifying an entire production sector, with nearby companies all operating in the chemical, energy, and waste management industries.
In collaboration with other companies in the energy, chemical, and waste treatment sectors, we are working to integrate growth with respect for the environment in a concrete and measurable way.
