Alma Petroli takes centre stage at European level in the bitumen sector

Sergio Bovo, CEO of Alma Petroli, has been elected President of Eurobitume at the association’s Spring General Meeting, held on 15 April 2026 in Brussels.
Sergio Bovo takes the helm of the leading European organisation for the bitumen industry after serving as Vice President for the past year; his term of office will last one year.
“It is an honour to have been elected President of Eurobitume at a time when our sector is central to the development of safe, sustainable and resilient infrastructure,” said Sergio Bovo at the Brussels General Meeting. “Bitumen plays a fundamental role in road construction and in numerous applications supporting mobility and the European economy. Together with the association’s members, we will continue to promote innovation and responsible practices.”
Founded in 1969, Eurobitume represents the voice of the bitumen industry in Europe, with the aim of promoting the efficient, safe and sustainable use of this material in road, industrial and construction applications, supporting the development of best practices and dialogue with institutions.
